Sandia National Laboratories seeks a Postdoctoral Appointee to join the quantum optics and sensing group at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies (CINT). Research focuses on solid-state defect centers (e.g., NV centers in diamond, silicon) for quantum information and sensing, with emphasis on quantum control, single-photon emitters, and scanning probe microscopy.
QualificationsRequired:
- PhD (Physics, Optical/Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related).
- Experience with TEM/optics/quantum control; strong Python skills.
- First-author publications and conference presentations.
- Background in quantum sensing/defects, scanning probe microscopy, optical system building, and advanced data analysis.
- Onsite, full-time; 1-year appointment (renewable up to 5 years).
