Job Description Overview
We are seeking a Senior AI&T Engineer to develop and support the end-to-end integration and test activities for complex defense Space RF systems. This role is responsible for executing multi-system build, integration, and verification phases, ensuring all hardware and software components meet design intent, performance requirements, and military standards. The Senior Test Engineer will be assigned to the AI&T team, reporting directly to the AI&T Cross Product Team Lead, and interfacing with management, engineering leadership, and government customers.
Key Responsibilities- Support the AI&T strategy from early planning through final system acceptance, ensuring compliance with program requirements and DoD standards.
- Lead development and coordinate integration and test activities, including hardware/software integration, functional RF testing, environmental testing, and acceptance testing.
- Lead the development and review of test plans, test procedures, reports, requirements burn-down, and test readiness review (TRR) packages.
- Develop Integration Readiness Reviews (IRRs), TRRs, and post-test data analysis reviews.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for integration and test anomalies.
- Lead a core team of Test Engineers and Analysts, with functional test management of Cybersecurity, Systems Engineering, Software, and Manufacturing professionals.
- Maintain and operate test equipment to include development unit test assets, outdoor test facilities, and Near-Field RF Ranges.
- Execute contractor/developmental test events and conduct after action (Hotwash) briefings.
- Assist in the development of test related scheduling, performance reviews and stakeholder updates.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, or Aerospace Engineering (Master's preferred).
- 12+ years of experience in integration and test of aerospace or defense systems.
- Understanding of system engineering/test processes, requirements verification, and test methodologies.
- Strong technical writing skills.
- Thorough understanding of DODI and service level test instruction.
- Strong decision-making, autonomy, and problem-solving skills.
- U.S. Citizenship and active DoD Top Secret clearance (TS/SCI clearance preferred).
- Operations or Acquisitions experience with multi-domain systems (RF, EO/IR, SATCOM, etc.).
- Design of Experiments (Statistics/Ops Research background).
- Accurate Integration and Test documentation delivered on schedule.
- Zero missed critical requirements during verification and meets requirement sell-off criteria.
