Role Overview We are seeking a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) Engineer to support the design, analysis, and testing of control systems for precision electro-optical systems. This role involves working with both directed energy and electro-optical systems. The engineer will gather, define, and document system-level requirements, develop GNC and mathematical tools, and work under minimal direction.

Key Responsibilities
* Gather, define, and document GNC mission requirements, ensuring traceability from system to component level.
* Perform and document the analysis and design of GNC systems.
* Perform model validation against test data to improve simulation accuracy.
* Use advanced analysis to assess and refine control law design.
* Develop solutions and disposition of issues to ensure customer satisfaction.
* Conduct design trade studies to meet program requirements.
* Work across multiple disciplines, including systems engineering, software, and hardware.
* Implement COTS solutions where appropriate.
* Author and maintain engineering documentation for consistency and delivery.

Required Qualifications
*
* Education:

** Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or equivalent qualifications.
*
* Experience:

** Experience in Guidance, Navigation, and Control engineering and Classical Control Theory.
** Technical

Skills:

** Experience with a higher-level programming language such as C, MATLAB, or Python.

Preferred Qualifications
* An advanced degree in a related field or coursework in Advanced Control Systems.
* Hardware implementation experience.
* Experience implementing algorithms in a real-time system.
* Experience with Speedgoat.

Work Environment This is a full-time, first-shift position. The standard hours are from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. A 9x80 work schedule is optional. This role requires U.S. Person status for purposes of Export Compliance. Less than 10% domestic travel may be required.
