Position Summary
Review and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies. Participate in the preparation and analysis of hospital financial statements and reports. Provide information and assistance to auditors. Prepare account reconciliations and financial analyses. Ensure adherence to Hospital and Departmental Policies and Procedures. No patient care assignment.
Responsibilities- Develop reports for internal distribution and reporting.
- Generate timely and accurate financial reports and financial analyses. Explain variances for monthly trend analysis.
- Prepare and reconcile daily cash deposits.
- Review petty cash reimbursement/requests for accuracy, completeness and adherence to policy.
- Analyze and research cash balances, income statement trends and balance sheet activity. Validate financial statement information for accuracy, completeness and proper account classification.
- Prepare monthly journal entries.
- Maintain departmental reports and records; collect statistical data for administrative and regulatory purposes.
- Review and reconcile assigned general ledger accounts.
- Respond to customer inquiries; research and resolve financial transaction problems.
- Develop, oversee and conduct various routine and special audits, research and correct data to maintain integrity of programs.
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops.
Related Education and Experience may be substituted for one another on a year for year basis.
Education (Essential): Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline.
Experience (Essential): 1 year directly related experience.
Experience (Non-essential): 2 years directly related experience.
Credentials (Essential): Not applicable / Not required.
Physical ConditionsSedentary work:
Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
