As a Mortgage Loan Originator, you will develop leads and originate mortgage loans through branches, realtors, and builders, as well as respond to referrals from branch personnel and others. You should understand mortgage regulations and related bank products to deepen customer relationships.

• Develop, lead, and originate mortgage loans through branches, realtors, and builders.
• Interview mortgage loan applicants.
• Take loan applications from customers.
• Send applicant’s file to processors in the centralized loan support area.
• Respond to referrals from branch personnel and others.
• Assist in obtaining additional data or information when requested by processors.
• Cross‑sell all bank products and services.

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience; MBA or Master’s Degree preferred.
• 2+ years of lending experience preferred.
• Creativity, flexibility, integrity, and a commitment to customer support are essential.
• Ability to work autonomously exercising considerable independent judgment.
• Maintain composure in stressful situations.
• Work flexible hours.

Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.

Physical demands include extended periods sitting or standing, use of computer equipment, walking, occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, or climbing. Lifting or moving items up to 10 pounds may be required. Vision requirements include close and distance vision, color and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
