Under general supervision, you will execute all functions and analysis with regard to billing and collection activities for Small and Large groups, Self‑Billed, ASO Groups, and Medicare line of business.
- Perform complex account reconciliation, resolution of discrepancies, and processing of member and group terminations resulting from account reconciliation.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
- Perform monthly invoice audits of new and existing groups.
- Act as backup for Urgent Member Issues and Hot Phone call.
- Responsible for moderately complex group insurance customer billing and accounts receivable.
- Provide service to customers regarding types of payments, reconcile moderately complex accounts, and handle collections and reinstatements.
- Process monthly Self‑billed and ASO account reconciliations including resolution of discrepancies.
- Perform billing and collections for Government Programs.
- Analyze billing errors and billing queries to correct errors.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma/GED.
- 2–3 years of account billing and collections experience, preferably with strong accounting/bookkeeping experience in the health insurance industry.
- Detailed knowledge of Health Plan portfolio (ASO, Self‑billed, Medicare, Individual and Group plans) billing and follow‑up.
- Competency in desktop software applications including Word, Excel, and Microsoft Access.
