Quality and Compliance Specialist – Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless
Location:
Albuquerque, NM
Salary: $65,000.00 - $75,000.00
Supports the organization’s quality and compliance initiatives under the guidance of the Quality and Compliance Manager and Chief Operating Officer. The role involves audits, incident reporting, documentation, and policy administration to ensure high standards of care for people experiencing homelessness.
Duties and Responsibilities- Gather and analyze data, prepare spreadsheets, and complete audits.
- Run standard and ad‑hoc reports and perform data analysis.
- Develop new reports as needed.
- Track quality indicators and improvement tools such as PDSA.
- Assist with Meaningful Use and Patient Centered Medical Home tracking initiatives.
- Participate in incident reporting and tracking.
- Attend various meetings and take minutes.
- Participate in HIPAA training and compliance initiatives.
- Assist with Meaningful Use/PCMH and UDS data tracking.
- Participate in developing workflows for internal programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must comply with AHCH policies and procedures.
- AA in Business Administration or Health Administration, or equivalent experience.
- 2 years’ experience in quality improvement, risk management, or compliance within a healthcare setting.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Reporting and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access) and other databases.
- BA in Business Administration or Health Administration.
- 4 years’ experience in quality improvement, risk management, or compliance in healthcare.
- Experience with electronic health records, meaningful use, and incident reporting.
- Prior experience in a non‑profit setting.
