Phlebotomist

Health Advocates Network is currently seeking a   
** Phlebotomist
* * to work at a Facility in  
** Albuquerque , NM.
** These are   _registry_  positions with our company.

** Pay Rate:**  $32.50 / hour

** Shift Details:*
* + Days - (40 hrs) Tuesday and Thursday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm and Mon, Wed, Fri 7:00 am to 3:00 pm.

* Qualifications:

* +  
** At least one year (12 months) of experience in Phlebotomy*
* + Must have up to date credentials in the state of   
** NM*
* + A valid and current CPR card (American Heart Association)

+ Ability to build rapport with patients

+ Compassionate and caring demeanor

+ Familiarity with medical terminology

** Job Responsibilities (not limited to):*
* + Collect and store blood samples from patients

+ Distribute samples to designated departments

+ Monitor storage and inventory of supplies

+ Maintain clean and healthy work environment

+ Adhere to laboratory safety policies and procedures

+ Practice proper patient identification

+ Label vials with patient names and dates

+ Decipher the best method for drawing blood depending on the specific patient

+ Expect to work with many patients varying in age and health status

+ Be friendly, courteous and sympathetic when it comes to working with patients

+ Keep your phlebotomy cart or station well-organized

+ Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment
