Key initiatives include Head Start & Early Head Start, Youth Build, High School Equivalency education, after-school enrichment, emergency youth shelter, workforce training, reentry support, and behavioral health counseling.
We also provide family-focused services such as parenting classes, housing support, gang intervention, and case management. YDI is dedicated to building brighter futures and creating lasting impact in the communities we serve.
Under the direction of the Clinical Director, the Clinical Therapist will provide individual and family therapy services to referred clients.
Minimum Qualifications- M.S.W. or M.A. degree in Psychology, Social Work, Guidance and Counseling, or a closely related field.
- License to practice in the State of New Mexico.
- Demonstrated emotional maturity and sound judgment, with high standards of morals and speech.
- Work directly with the Clinical Director in formulating admission and referral policies and procedures.
- Provide client assessment prior to program admission.
- Develop treatment plans for all admitted clients.
- Provide individual therapy services as appropriate.
- Provide family therapy services as appropriate.
- Document all pertinent information in client files.
- Develop reports as required.
- Provide in-service training for YDI staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
This position is exempt from overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act. This is a professional position requiring organizational and communication skills, as well as judgment, tact and diplomacy in contacts with YDI employees, community residents, parents and local government agencies. Strict adherence is required to all regulations concerning confidentiality.
Background investigation to include fingerprinting will be required. Physical and TB skin test is required upon hire and may be required intermittently. Frequent travel is required and proof of satisfactory car insurance is required. Must be able to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Supervision ReceivedUnder the direct supervision of the Clinical Director.
