The role is based at the University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center (UNMCCC) and reports to the Supervisor of Registration/Check‑In Services. The Coordinator handles patient reminder phone calls, checking patients Slovenije, conducting full registration, verifying insurance, collecting co‑pay/self‑pay payments, and performing other client‑facing tasks in a fast‑paced clinic environment.
SalaryMinimum $36,399 – Midpoint $44,754* (based on years of relevant experience)
- Salary determined by total relevant experience.
- Salary based on a 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week); less than 40 hours will be prorated.
- Perform patient reminder phone calls.
- Check patients in for सम्ब् appointments.
- Conduct full patient registration.
- Verify insurance coverage and collect co‑pay/self‑pay payments.
- Handle patient concerns and complaints, serving as a liaison with physicians and other providers.
- Manage referrals and prior authorizations with insurance carriers.
- Support administrative functions such as scheduling appointments and verifying demographic information.
Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution may substitute for Registro experience on a one‑year‑for‑one‑year basis.
- Verification of education and licensure (if applicable) required upon hire.
