Integration Support Lead Engineer (Mule Soft)
Join KPMG US as an Integration Support Lead Engineer in our Digital Nexus technology organization. This is a hybrid work opportunity and full‑time role based in the United States.
Responsibilities- Serve as the subject‑matter expert on Mule Soft, overseeing daily operation and health; work with specialists to resolve complex integration issues.
- Manage and prioritize production support tickets, ensuring timely resolution and clear communication with stakeholders; perform root cause analysis for integration issues and implement preventive measures to ensure system stability and performance.
- Diagnose and resolve complex system configuration, production, and deployment problems; use monitoring and logging tools such as Mule Soft Monitoring, queue traces, and other diagnostics to identify and address performance bottlenecks.
- Work closely with cross‑functional teams—including business analysts, developers, and project managers—to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical solutions; communicate complex technical concepts and issues to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Design, develop, and deploy Mule Soft APIs, integrations, and batch processes using Anypoint Studio, Anypoint API Manager, and Cloud Hub.
- Minimum five years of recent experience in enterprise integration with practical experience on the Mule Soft Anypoint Platform.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university is preferred;
Mule Soft Certified Developer (Mule 4) is an added advantage. - Extensive experience designing and implementing Mule Soft solutions, including API‑led connectivity, RESTful/SOAP APIs, and Data Weave; proficiency with Anypoint Studio, Anypoint Platform (API Manager, Runtime Manager), Data Weave, Mule 4.x runtime, API governance, and security policies (OAuth 2.0).
- Solid understanding of integration patterns, protocols (HTTP/s, JMS, JDBC), and data formats (JSON, XML, CSV); working knowledge of CI/CD concepts (Git, Jenkins, Azure Dev Ops), Dev Ops practices, and cloud platforms.
- Ability to independently triage and resolve complex technical issues without constant supervision; capability to translate business needs into scalable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment‑based visa sponsorship now or in the future. KPMG will not sponsor applicants for U.S. work visa status for this opportunity.
