The Data Center Technician II supports a 24x7 Data Operations Center (DOC) to monitor software, hardware, and infrastructure components, ensuring adherence to standards.

• Support design, improvement, implementation, and operation of the Data Operations Center.
• Follow industry standards and best practices for Data Centers.
• Perform Help Desk activities, including after-hours support via phone/email/fax.
• Support collection, analysis, and communication of requirements.
• Monitor network and applications 24x7 using government-supplied tools like Microsoft SCOM, Solar Winds, etc.
• Open tickets for outages and monitoring issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years supporting IT environments at the server level, including backup, recovery, patching, Tier II/III support, and hardware upgrades.
• Background check clearance.

• Support Microsoft and Linux OS.
• Knowledge of Data Center standards, monitoring tools, and networking.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to obtain an IA driver’s license for government vehicle operation.
