- Conduct legal research and provide legal analysis on various issues related to Medical Malpractice
- Develop case strategies, evaluate settlement value, and provide legal counsel to clients on their rights and legal options.
- Take lead on cases from beginning to end
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery requests
- Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Participate in case strategy discussions and negotiations
- Manage case files and maintain accurate and organized records
- Attend continuing legal education courses to stay current on legal developments in Medical Malpractice
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school
- Admission to the State Bar of New Mexico
- The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in medical malpractice, complex litigation, wrongful death, or similar
- Previous experience working on cases with high exposure ($10M+)
- Strong research and writing skills
- Excellent oral communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to travel when necessary
- Competitive quarterly bonus plan based on monthly billables - ability to earn an additional $52k annually

- Hybrid schedule (3 days/week in office, 2 days/week at home)

$110,000 - $165,000 a year
Compensation is commensurate with years of experience/bar admittance date
