Our client is a Top 5 ranked Fortune 500 national home builder in New Mexico and is seeking a high-energy Director of Sales to join one of its most well-positioned divisions in the Southwest.

Homebuilding industry experience is required for this senior leadership role.

What you’ll do
  • Lead the Sales and Marketing department / report to the Division President
  • Supervise a team of 20+ sales professionals
  • Manage all sales projections, sales rep activity, marketing, escrow closings, merchandising and grand openings
Responsibilities
  • Plan, assign, and direct workflow to meet or beat set sales goals
  • Interview, hire, and retain an exceptional team. Set strategies and execute goals. Coach and develop Sales Managers individually, and aid in building a pipeline of future Sales Associates.
  • Champion realtor outreach (realtor breakfasts, lunches, office presentations)
  • Work with the marketing coordinator/manager and Division Manager on advertising efforts
  • Mindstorm with agents on all marketing promotions
  • Lead Grand openings and new phases in collaboration with area managers, marketing manager, etc.
  • Immersing your team in competitive market analysis, local design preferences and value perceptions. Maximize profitability by reviewing, tailoring, and repositioning products as needed.
  • Meet with stakeholders to align or revise sales strategies. Audit CRM reports, and develop lists of community-centric issues for observation, improvement, evaluation, and resolution.
What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 10+ years of new home sales experience in a production homebuilding environment
  • 3+ years of successful sales leadership experience
  • A great playbook / examples and tactics of how you’ve increased market share
  • A great plan / examples of how you train new hires and mentor current ones to achieve sales goals
  • Familiarity with marketing tactics, customer engagement strategies, and sales incentive design
