We are seeking a CMM Programmer with expertise in Calypso software for developing and modifying inspection processes in aerospace machining.

1st shift – candidate needs to come from aerospace machining shop

• Develops and modifies inspection processes for raw material and secondary ops to ensure conformance to specifications. Proficient with a broad variety of inspection equipment and have strong CMM knowledge.
• Inspects high value, complex and tightly tolerance parts accurately and dependably, utilizing all available types of mechanical and computerized inspection equipment.
• Develops and clearly documents inspection methods for high value, complex and tightly tolerance parts accurately and dependably, utilizing all available types of mechanical and computerized inspection equipment.
• Actively identifies and uses alternative inspection techniques to validate results.
• Utilizes statistical techniques to understand and improve the capability of our processes.
• Writes and updates incoming inspection methods.
• Works with engineers and programmers to setup incoming inspection instructions for new parts.
• Determines the proper disposition of rejected material.
• Communicates supplier quality issues back to supplies and initiate - tracks corrective action.
• Confers with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve quality problems.

Qualifications

• Experience with CMM programming using Calypso software.
• Proficiency with Zeiss Machine and a variety of inspection equipment.
• Background from aerospace machining shop.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical and computerized inspection equipment.
• Ability to develop, document, and utilize alternative inspection techniques.
• Experience with CMM - Zeiss Machine / Calypso – programming language.
