Kairos Power is a new nuclear energy technology and engineering company whose mission is to enable the world’s transition to clean energy. We are focused on commercializing the fluoride‑salt‑cooled, high‑temperature reactor (FHR) that can be deployed safely, affordably, and flexibly to support variable renewables.

We are seeking a highly motivated fabricator with expertise in the fabrication of piping systems. This role involves both in‑position and out‑of‑position welding, including manual TIG and orbital welding. You will meet timelines, improve pipe welding capabilities, and collaborate across functions to ensure quality and safety.

• Fabricate and assemble piping systems to meet engineering and print specifications.
• Perform high‑quality TIG and orbital welding on a variety of materials and pipe schedules.
• Interpret and work from isometric drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Provide fast turn‑around prototypes for engineering development and testing.
• Collaborate closely with engineering teams to resolve fabrication issues and execute work requests.
• Propose optimal or innovative fabrication techniques for given jobs.
• Participate as a team member on large‑scale fabrication projects, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Conduct occasional training on machine capability and best practices to enhance fabrication of piping systems.
• Maintain current welding certifications and documentation in accordance with company and ASME standards.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable safety standards, procedures, and codes.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and the fabrication workspace in safe and reliable condition.
• Other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or GED with 3+ years of related experience and/or training.
• 1‑3 years of experience in a fabrication or welding shop preferred.
• Experience with GTAW on a variety of materials, including tubing to schedule 160 pipe.
• Ability to pass a 6G super coupon weld certification.
• Proficiency with manual tools (Lathe, Mill) desired.
• Experience with 3D CAD software desired.
• Experience working with stainless material and vessel fabrication desired.

• Knowledge of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
• Ability to read and understand isometric drawings for piping.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Problem‑solving skills with a focus on rapid and efficient resolution.
• Prioritizes safety for self and others.
• Proactive knowledge management and transfer.
• Creative thinking to achieve efficiencies in challenging situations.

• Use of ladders, stairs, scaffolding, lifts, and other equipment, including heavy machinery.
• Movement in various positions and confined spaces.
• Extended periods of standing or sitting.
• Lifting, transporting, installing, positing, or removing objects up to 50 pounds.
• Repetitive assembly operations, often with tools.
• Communication with others.
• Operating motor vehicles or heavy equipment as needed.

• Exposure to low and high temperatures, outdoor elements, noise, and enclosed spaces.
• Potential for odors, fumes from chemicals, and high‑concentration, fast‑paced environments.

• Reading and interpreting hazardous warning signs.
• Cleaning and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Reporting equipment or unsafe conditions.
• Wearing required PPE, including face mask, face shield, gloves, and safety shoes.

• Capability to obtain forklift and boom lift certification.

• Occasional overtime, weekend work, or schedule flexibility.
• Occasional extended hours to support launch and critical project timelines.
