This position reports to:
Production Supervisor.

Operate rubber injection molding machines to fabricate rubber components. Responsible for the production of molded products.

• Understands and follows plant safety and procedures.
• Avoids or prevents hazardous conditions from developing.
• Wears appropriate protective equipment as required, dresses and conducts self in a safe manner.
• Keeps work area clean and orderly and maintains Lean 5S.
• Participates in plant safety objectives.

• Demonstrate ABB’s core values and group safety and integrity standards and act accordingly.
• Implement and ensure compliance with the ABB code of conduct, global and local standards, tools, policies, and processes in assigned areas.
• Understand and follow plant safety and procedures.
• Responsible for all aspects of molding operations, i.e., work instructions, standard operating procedures, and revision control.
• Ensure quality operation of the process, perform quality checks and controls, including adherence to cleaning and maintenance.
• Maintain pre-determined efficiency, standards, and productivity rates.
• Prepare and maintain accurate production records and follow standard operating procedures.
• Keep track of approved, defective units and final product.
• Ensure shift change is completed with accurate and appropriate information.
• Additional duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

• High School diploma/GED is required.
• Prior manufacturing experience or quality control experience preferred.
• Ability to lift to 40 lbs and perform push/pull functions.
• Can work overtime to meet business objectives.
• Can work a weekend schedule as needed.

• Ability to read and understand various written instructions in English.
• Bend, twist & turn in a safe manner.
• Lift up to 40 pounds.
• Stand for long periods.
• Good hand dexterity.
• Ability to speak and write in clear English communications.
• Strong math skills.
