Travel Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse; RN

We are seeking talented Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses for a 13-week travel assignment. This role offers the opportunity to provide expert maternal and newborn care in a dynamic hospital environment while experiencing new locations and advancing your nursing career. The ideal candidate will have strong L&D experience and the adaptability to integrate quickly into new healthcare teams.

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring mothers throughout all stages of labor and delivery
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs using electronic fetal monitoring equipment and interpret fetal heart rate patterns
• Assist physicians and midwives with vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and emergency procedures
• Administer medications including oxytocin, epidural management, and pain relief interventions
• Conduct initial newborn assessments and provide immediate post-delivery care
• Support mothers with breastfeeding initiation and postpartum education
• Manage high-risk pregnancies including preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, and preterm labor
• Respond to obstetric emergencies including shoulder dystocia, hemorrhage, and fetal distress
• Document all care provided in electronic health records per hospital protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team including obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and pediatricians
• Provide emotional support and advocacy for patients and families during labor experience
• Maintain sterile technique during deliveries and surgical procedures
• Educate patients and families on labor process, pain management options, and postpartum care

• Active RN license in compact state or ability to obtain licensure in assignment states
• Current BLS certification
• Clear background check and drug screening
