Job Description

American Traveler is hiring a Med-Surg RN with recent specialty experience, a NM or compact RN license, and night shift availability.

• Work in a hospital-based Med-Surg unit
• Assigned to 3F department with required floating between departments or sites within a 20-mile radius
• Shifts are 12 hour nights ), three shifts per week
• Epic EMR is used, on-site training is available
• Provides comprehensive patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation
• Coordinates patient care with involvement of the patient, family, and healthcare team
• Will supervise LPNs and non-licensed support staff as needed
• Must be flexible and willing to float as assigned
• Completion and passing of all required orientation modules is needed
• Returning staff must have been separated for at least one year to be eligible
• Dress code consists of specified scrub attire
• Epic charting system is used with training provided on-site

• Active New Mexico or Compact State RN license is required
• Current BLS certification from AHA, American Health and Safety, or American Red Cross
• Two years of recent Med-Surg RN experience required
• At least one prior 13-week travel assignment is required
• Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) required
• Must be a team player capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible
