Job SummaryBuild your career and make a difference. Presbyterian is hiring a skilled LPN to provide patient care in an ambulatory care setting according to established standards of care, in collaboration with Care Managers and Medical Providers as members of the primary care team.
Responsibilities- Adheres to the LPN scope of practice by contributing to the assessment of the health status of individuals, families, and communities.
- Deliver direct patient care, including administering treatments as prescribed, assisting nurses and physicians with procedures, and documenting patient needs, actions taken, and responses.
- Administer prescribed medications, including medications administered through parenteral/intravenous infusions as prescribed by physician or standard protocols, and document according to policy.
- Document and report patient condition, care delivery, and post‑procedure follow‑up; assess changes in patient’s condition and report to nurse and physician as needed.
- Incorporate nursing activities that create a compassionate, supportive, and therapeutic environment for patients and staff, with the aim of promoting comfort and healing.
- Apply exceptional patient experience principles and incorporate them into care interactions.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of a new graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited practical nursing program.
- Licensed Practical Nurse in New Mexico.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
