Pay RangeBase pay: $41.58 per hour – $60.94 per hour.
Minimum offer: $41.58 per hour. Maximum offer: $56.10 per hour.

Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to provide direct patient care to an assigned group of patients during a shift.
- Prioritize the delivery of direct nursing care using time and resources efficiently and integrate a standards‑based framework model.
Job Duties
- Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken, and patient responses.
- Coordinate patient care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.
- Perform assessments as per unit standards and document on appropriate database/assessment flow sheet.
- Initiate, utilize, and document appropriate protocols and standards of care.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician, or standard protocols and document according to policy.
- Identify and meet patient and family learning and discharge needs on admission and throughout episode of care.
- Evaluate patient progression toward outcomes per unit standards and document through EOSS etc.
- Perform competently in emergency situations.
- Delegate or assign aspects of patient care to healthcare team members commensurate with their validated competency to perform the task.
- Provide leadership through communication about and validation of patient care.
- Assist with various procedures, treatments, surgical techniques or delegate/assign to other healthcare team members as appropriate.
- Complete patient population/age‑specific/procedure and protocol education and competency testing per unit standards.
- Assists in orientation of new staff or students and serve as a resource person and professional role model.
- Assume professional responsibility for current nursing structure and clinical standards of care.
- Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non‑licensed assertive personnel.
- Incorporate PHS mission (VVPS) in caregiving activities.
- Support DON philosophies of shared governance and models of care delivery.
- Meet requirements of PRN connection agreement.
- Demonstrate flexibility in meeting patient care needs in other departments through floating within cluster.
- Assume other leadership roles (i.e., relief charge nurse) as required by the department.
- Participate in unit/department governance.
- Adhere to PHS dress code for professionals, including display of .
- Document own continuing education.
- Maintain positive communication and relationships with patients, peers, and other healthcare team members.
- Participate in quality improvement activities.
- Maintain a punctual and reliable attendance record.
- Complete mandatory in‑services, competencies and licensure requirements on time.
- Adhere to safety and equipment policies.
- Associate Degree in Nursing.
- State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
- BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire.
- ACLS, PALS.
- Previous Radiology X‑ray Special Procedure experience highly preferred.
