Compensation

Base Pay Range: $40.80/hr - $58.40/hr

Role Overview

Our Progressive Care team is looking for a qualified Charge RN to join its leadership core. The Charge RN will provide clinical and operational shift supervision of care processes, including patient flow, quality processes, patient safety, and the direction of unit staff in designated service areas. Direct patient care may also be required.

Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of the Nursing Director and in partnership with the Department RN Manager and RN Assistant Manager.
  • Supervise shift operations of care processes to ensure exceptional care experiences and patient safety.
  • Lead and provide direction to unit staff during 12‑hour days, ensuring high quality care delivery.
  • Possibly provide direct patient care as needed.
  • Accept sign‑on and relocation bonuses available for qualified candidates.
  • Support the Acute Medical Step‑Down unit’s mission to care for high‑acuity patients in a collaborative, respectful environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
  • Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
  • State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at hire.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
  • Preferred specialty certifications:
    • CDS‑Inpatient
    • Progressive and Critical Care Units: ACLS
    • Emergency Departments: ACLS, PALS
    • Pediatrics / PICU: PALS
    • Newborn Nursery / Mother‑Baby Care / NICU: NRP
    • Family Birthing Center: NRP and Fetal Monitoring; permanent charge requires ACLS in addition to others
    • Pre‑op / Operating Room / PACU: ACLS, PALS
    • Oncology Chemotherapy certification
