Registered Nurse - Operating Room

Location:
Albuquerque, NM

Key Responsibilities:

• Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles as required.
• Providing direct patient care in the operating room by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting patient needs and responses.
• Ensuring safe, effective, patient-centered, timely, and efficient care for all patients.
• Collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
• Administering medications and treatments as prescribed or according to standard protocols, and documenting all interventions.
• Identifying and addressing patient and family education and discharge needs throughout the care episode.
• Supervising and mentoring LPNs and non-licensed personnel in clinical settings.
• Completing necessary education and competency testing specific to patient populations and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years current experience in a large operating room setting.
• Ability to scrub in surgical procedures.
• Team-oriented, flexible, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Successful completion of at least one 13-week travel assignment.
• Valid nursing license in the State of New Mexico or a Compact State.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and PALS certifications preferred, with ability to obtain on-site if needed.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

• Experience with Epic electronic health record system is a plus (training available).
• Experience in orthopedics, ENT, or vascular surgery is a plus.

$3000 includes taxable hourly rate plus meals and lodging stipend. IDEAL JOB :
