Genesis is hiring a Certified Medication Aide to provide high‑quality medication administration and support patient care under the direction of a licensed nurse.
Salary$16.50/hr – $19.50/hr (based on skills and experience).
OverviewAs a Certified Medication Aide, you will administer patient medications and treatments, monitor vital signs, manage medication supplies, and report observations to supervising nurses. This role is vital to patient safety and care quality.
Responsibilities- Report observations on patient condition, emergencies, or medication complications to the supervising nurse.
- Prepare and administer routine medications as prescribed and PRN medications only after RN assessment.
- Document medication administration per company policies.
- Maintain medication supply for refills; clean and restock medicine carts.
- Perform accurate vital sign monitoring when indicated by drug therapy.
- Successful completion of a state‑approved medicine course.
- Completion of a state‑approved certified nursing assistant (CNA) program.
- Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant with at least two years of experience.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
- Basic computer skills or willingness to learn.
- Attendance of at least 16 hours of continuing education annually to maintain certification.
