American Traveler is hiring a Level III NICU RN for a day shift position requiring 2 years of Level III NICU experience and NM or compact RN licensure.

• Work in the NICU of a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital
• Mixed acuity unit caring for neonates from under 23 weeks to full term newborns, including Level IV NICU acuity patients
• Typical patient ratio is 1:3, with occasional 1:4 during surge periods
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 to 19:30
• Float requirement within scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and MBU
• No on-call responsibilities
• Weekend requirement of 12 shifts per contract
• Uses Cerner charting system

• Active NM or compact RN license required, pending license accepted
• Current BLS and NRP certifications
• Minimum 2 years of Level III NICU experience required
• Proficiency with IV vasopressors, high frequency ventilation, high flow nasal cannula, and ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Experience managing respiratory distress syndrome
• Cerner charting experience required
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• PICU and NICU IV experience preferred

• Provide nursing care across a mixed acuity NICU population, including the most critical Level IV infants
• Required to work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day if starting in December, with no holiday RTO during that period
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
• Black scrub color required
• No fee for parking
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not accepted
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• A 6-month system break is required after 1 year or 4 consecutive assignments, whichever comes first
• Former staff must have a 12-month separation before returning
