American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Emergency Department position requiring a NM or compact RN license and at least 2 years of ER experience.

• General Emergency Department caring for combined adult and pediatric patients
• Level I and Level II Trauma Center with STEMI and Stroke certification
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts, with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
• At least 6 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule
• Epic charting system preferred
• Floating to like units within scope required as needed based on facility needs

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted if obtained prior to start
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS required; CPI and TNCC preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy/phlebotomy, arterial line management, central line care, and blood product administration
• Experience managing ventilated patients, BiPAP/CPAP, and interpreting ABGs preferred
• Experience with cardiac dysrhythmia management and interpretation required
• Experience in triage and isolation precautions/PPE required
• Teaching hospital, community hospital, and LTAC experience preferred
• Trauma Level I and II experience preferred

• Provide emergency care across a wide range of trauma, cardiac, neurological, and pediatric cases
• Receive brief orientation when floated to other units
• Must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible for the travel position
• Previous staff must wait one year before returning as a traveler
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Up to 4 days of RTO can be auto-approved at time of submission
