American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg RN for a night shift position requiring at least 1 year of experience and an active NM or compact RN license.

• Medical Surgical unit in a hospital setting
• Night shift, 4x12-hour shifts from 18:30 to 7:00
• 1:6 patient ratio
• Epic charting system experience required
• Floating required to like units within scope as needed
• Weekend shifts required

• Active NM or compact RN license required
• BLS certification required; CPI certification preferred
• Minimum of 1 year of Med/Surg experience required
• Epic EMR experience required
• Skills in respiratory care including BiPAP/CPAP management, chest tube care, oxygen administration, and suctioning
• IV therapy, phlebotomy, and PICC line management experience
• Experience with colostomy/ileostomy and feeding tube care preferred
• Experience managing CVA, pre/post neurosurgery, and spinal cord injury patients
• Experience administering Heparin, Insulin, and PCA medications
• Experience with isolation precautions, PPE, and wound care/wound vac
• Experience in telemetry monitoring and cardiac emergency response, including Rapid Response/Code teams
• Experience with pre/post hemodialysis management and renal failure care preferred
• Experience with surgical drains and total joint replacement care

• First-time travelers welcome with a minimum of 3 years of nursing experience
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be considered
• Former staff must wait at least 1 year before returning as a traveler
• No travel pairs or groups accepted
• Brief orientation provided for floated units
