American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN for a Level I Trauma teaching hospital, requiring 3+ years of OR experience with Level I trauma and circulating experience.

• Operating Room unit in a Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital setting
• 1:1 patient ratios
• Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
• 36 guaranteed hours per week with facility allowed up to 3 call-offs during the 13-week assignment
• Weekend requirement of 2-3 per month
• On-call required:
  Day shift call, 24-36 hours per month
• No floating required outside of scope
• Block scheduling not accommodated
• Cerner charting system used
• Purple scrubs provided by facility

• Active RN license (NM or Compact) required, pending license accepted
• BLS certification required
• RQI certifications not accepted
• 3 years of OR RN experience required
• Level I Trauma experience required
• Circulating experience required
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• No prior travel experience required
• Non-local driver's license required on file if applicable

• Must work Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day for holiday pay if starting in December
• No holiday RTO available for December starts
• RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval
• No RTO permitted during the first 7 days or last day of the contract
• Candidates residing within 100 miles of the facility are not eligible (non-local candidates only)
• Former UNM Hospital staff must have 12 months of separation before returning
• Travelers who have completed 4 consecutive assignments or reached the one-year mark require a 6-month system break
• COVID vaccine is optional, but candidates must upload vaccination series or submit a declination due to facility reporting requirements
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• No parking fees at this facility
