Foreman – Utility Line Clearance

Join the Davey Tree Expert Company as a Foreman leading a skilled tree crew on major electric utility sites.

• Lead a 2-5 person crew in safe, skillful tree pruning and removal services for utility providers.
• Prune treetops and repair damaged trees by trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines.
• Perform job‑site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, and more.
• Mentor and train new employees.

• Love of the outdoors.
• Complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire.
• Complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Two years’ experience in utility line clearance tree trimming.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Preferred:
  Commercial Driver’s License – Class A or B without air brake restriction.
• Preferred:
  Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law.
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional®.
