Base pay range$15.48/hr - $19.45/hr
OverviewPresbyterian is seeking a Dishwasher for our Hospital cafeteria. The Dishwasher performs a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties in a hospital kitchen/cafeteria. Dishwashing duties include retrieving trays from the dirty utility room, cleaning off meal carts, sending dirty dishes through the dish machine, washing pots, and placing clean dishes in the designated work area. Janitorial duties include throwing trash, sweeping, and mopping.
The Dishwasher also participates in the delivery of food service trays to customers while maintaining quality and sanitation standards as needed.
Entry‑level individual with up to one year of experience in customer service or food service. Must be at least 16 years of age to be considered.
Qualifications- Less than high school education, and less than one year experience in a customer service or food service environment. Minimum legal age for consideration is 16.
- Retrieve trays from the dirty utility room, clean off meal carts, send dirty dishes through the dish machine, wash pots, and place clean dishes in the designated work area.
- Throw trash, sweep, and mop.
- Participate in the delivery of food service trays to customers while maintaining quality and sanitation standards.
- Participate in the assembly and delivery of patient/customer meals in accordance with established criteria and procedures.
- Support the organization’s vision, values, and strategies.
- Maintain and support sanitation standards as required by department policy and regulatory agencies.
- Operate and maintain equipment commensurate with the job assignment.
- Ensure quality guidelines are maintained as they pertain to the area assigned.
- Maintain department records, reports, and files as required.
- Participate in educational meetings/in‑services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
