Summary
The Rental Account Manager is the primary Rental Sales/Marketing function at the BU level. The position mainly supports the commercial rental and trailer services product lines, with a focus on generating profitable new accounts and retaining existing accounts. The goal is pure rental revenue growth, improved profitability, and higher Return on Assets. Additionally, supporting lease sales productivity for the Lease Sales organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop leads through cold calls, telephone solicitation, and customer visits.
- Assess customer needs, develop proposals, and close sales.
- Ensure equipment availability in coordination with rental operations.
- Market at the branch level and coach rental sales representatives in telemarketing to prospects and current customers.
- Contact decision makers, develop competitive proposals, and train RSR in proper phone skills.
- Maintain customer relationships through visits and phone calls; handle complaints and stay abreast of needs for long‑term rentals.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, and maintain customer files; coordinate with BU departments for scheduling.
- Ensure FIS integrity and accuracy of customer data in the DPS system; handle credit approval, collections, and past‑due receivables.
- Follow company procedures, ensuring compliance and timely follow‑up.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or 5 years equivalent experience.
- One year or more sales experience (preferred three years).
- Industry experience (one year or more preferred).
