Now Hiring an Unarmed Security Officer! Ideal candidates will have previous experience as a security officer, security guard, or other safety and protection-related fields, including customer service roles. Marksman Security Corporation is accepting applications for a Security Officer in an active and engaging atmosphere. This job entails engaging with the public and responding to any and all calls for service in public right of way.

You will be working with a team and supported by a leadership team that sets clear expectations and will help you to succeed and grow. Applicants need to be able and willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays, if needed. Must have a current valid New Mexico Level II Guard License. Be able and willing to conduct extended foot patrols of the district area up to six hours.

Must have a clean driving record.

• Conduct vehicle and foot patrols of areas in the public right of way to identify potential safety and security risks
• Maintain a visible presence and engage in professional public interactions
• Document all interactions in a clear and concise written report, ensuring accuracy and timely submission of required documentation
• Communicate and pass on all pertinent information to fellow team members, other safety teams, and the client
• Monitor and detect suspicious behavior to prevent vandalism, theft, and other criminal activities
• Warn violators of infractions (e.g., loitering, smoking, and possession of prohibited items)
• Respond to calls of distress, alarms, and emergencies by contacting local first responders
• Identify and report safety or security concerns in a timely manner
• Ensure rules and regulations are being enforced and followed
• Other duties as determined by management

• Must be at least 21 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid state driver’s license
• Valid New Mexico Level II Guard License
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Minimum of one year of customer service experience
• Minimum of one year of security experience
• Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background and drug)
• Occasional physical requirements including crawling, crouching, climbing stairs, kneeling, running, standing, and walking for extended periods
