Possess ability to deal with situations involving mental or physical duress. Must possess a general knowledge of working on or with a computer. Possess ability to analyze and react to diverse situations. Possess effective communication skills, comprehend both written and verbal instructions and take appropriate actions. Must qualify for and maintain a secret security clearance and possess a valid driver's license.

• Performing security checks and entering in shift log.
• Monitor, detect and make notifications of unauthorized entry, alarms, or other abnormal activity.
• Protect resources from compromise, theft, sabotage, and physical or visual access.
• Maintain daily shift logs and pass on situation status to the oncoming guard.
• Control entry and exit to the site and closed areas in accordance with Program Access rosters and IDS authorization rosters.
• Perform random vehicle searches.
• Inventory and maintain visitor badges.
• Post Visit Requests and coordinate with WSMR and HAFB gates as necessary.
• Control key access to essential areas. This does not include closed areas.
• Control and maintain commonly used equipment. (Cell phone, hand radio, vehicle, flashlight, and spotlight).
• Provide notification and guidance to site personnel on roadblocks, under-covers, and evacuations.
• Conduct special pre/post-test security procedures as required.
• Handle the receiving/transferring of telephone calls within the assigned facility.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Other duties include general housekeeping of work area and cleanup of assigned work area.

Incumbent must be able to read, write and communicate clearly. Must be capable of understanding and enforcing regulations, instructions and procedures designed to prevent breaches of security. Must hold a High School Diploma and possess a valid driver’s license. Also, must be a US Citizen.

This position requires Secret security clearance. Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. All selected candidates must undergo and successfully pass a background investigation and drug test as a condition of placement into this position. Must also possess ability to deal with situations involving mental or physical duress, a general knowledge of working on or with a computer and an ability to analyze and react to diverse situations as well as utilize effective communication skills, comprehend both written and verbal instructions and take appropriate actions.

Supports EOMS operational objectives. Observes company Quality, Safety, Environmental, Security and Administrative policies; supports Process Improvement.

Most work is performed in an office or guard post setting. However, the patrol route includes contact with mechanical and electronic equipment and may require patrolling exterior property during inclement weather. Position will require candidate to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Will be required to lift, pull, or carry items of weight and size commensurate with job requirements. The position requires periodic walking, running, bending, stooping, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
