Overview
Excelsior Defense is now accepting applications for professional Unarmed Security Officers for our open positions at one of our V.A locations in Albuquerque! As an employee for a federal contract, officers are paid a base wage of $16.20 per hour and ALSO make an ADDITIONAL $4.57 per hour that is disbursed through a 401(a) savings account or can be disbursed towards medical insurance.

We have FT swing shifts , WED-SUN) available; veterans or retirees are encouraged to apply for this position!
Must have a valid unarmed security guard license within the state of New Mexico
Must complete background check, finger printing and drug screening in order to gain employment on a federal site. (This is done by Excelsior Defense once selected for employment.)

Responsibilities- Protect company's property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property
- Apprehend criminals and evict violators
- Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences
- Report in detail any suspicious incidents
- Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter
- Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates
- Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment
- Perform first aid or CPR
- Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position
- Valid Class D Security License active with the State of Florida
- Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment
- Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols
- Surveillance skills and detail orientation
- Integrity and professionalism
- High school degree
