Key Non-Negotiables (Must-Haves)
To succeed in this role, you must meet the following mandatory requirements:
- State HVAC License: Active Journeyman HVAC License is strictly required.
- EPA Certification: EPA Section 608 Technician Certification for handling refrigerants in compliance with all regulations.
- Commercial Expertise & Rooftop Units: Proven hands-on experience installing and servicing commercial rooftop units (RTUs) and split systems.
- Refrigerant Handling: Mastery in safe refrigerant recovery, charging, and management protocols.
BONUS QUALIFICATION:
A current Sheet Metal License in New Mexico is a MAJOR PLUS and will put your application at the top of the pile!
What You’ll Do
Working directly with our Lead Technician at a premier single facility, you will:
- Install & Service: Perform precision installation and routine servicing of commercial rooftop units and split systems.
- Maintain & Troubleshoot: Conduct preventive maintenance, identify system issues, and execute effective technical solutions.
- Refrigerant Management: Safely handle, recover, and document refrigerant usage according to EPA standards.
- Blueprints & Controls: Read and interpret project blueprints, schematics, and work with commercial HVAC control systems.
- Collaborate & Communicate: Deliver excellent technical documentation and clear, professional communication with internal leads and site personnel.
Qualifications & Preferred Skills
- 4+ years of dedicated commercial HVAC service and installation experience.
- Strong working knowledge of commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems.
- Familiarity with HVAC controls, electrical diagnostics, and refrigerant recovery procedures.
- Ability to read and execute work from blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong communication skills and detail-oriented technical record-keeping.
