Flight Simulator Technician - Night Shift

Location: Knoxville, Tennessee

Shift: 4/10 9:00 PM – 7:30 AM, Mon‑Fri

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance following manufacturer schedules and procedures.
  • Perform corrective maintenance using basic troubleshooting skills and guidance from senior technicians.
  • Conduct daily simulator preflight and post‑flight checks on training devices.
  • Execute power‑up and power‑down procedures as required.
  • Provide technical support during simulator training events.
  • Maintain maintenance records and documentation in accordance with company procedures.
  • Keep inventory records up to date.
  • Provide customer service support in a timely and professional manner.
  • Perform housekeeping tasks to maintain the highest quality and presentation of training devices.
  • Perform QTG tests.
  • Under supervision, provide technical support during upgrades and modifications of training devices.
  • Be flexible and willing to work any shift required by the Cirrus Vision Center operation, including weekends, nights, and holidays.
Qualifications
  • Ability to perform each essential function satisfactorily.

Skills and Knowledge
  • Understanding of federal aviation regulations and standards applicable to flight simulators and training centers.
  • Proficiency with software and hardware diagnostic tools for system‑level troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in the use of basic test equipment.
  • Experience performing PC hardware and basic network maintenance.
  • Understanding of aviation systems and avionics and their equivalence in the flight simulator.
Education Required
  • 2‑year technical degree in Electronics, Computer Technology, or related field, or 3 years of equivalent experience.
Experience Required
  • 0 to 2 years direct flight simulator technical support.
