Dev Ops Engineer | Cheshire (Hybrid) | £70,000 - £80,000 per annum + Benefits

As the Dev Ops Engineer, you will help build and support the cloud infrastructure behind a rapidly growing technology platform. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex problems, automating systems, and working collaboratively across development and operations teams.

You’ll play a central part in maintaining secure, scalable environments that power business-critical applications, with plenty of opportunity to influence technical direction and drive improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage robust infrastructure using AWS services
• Deploy, maintain, and scale containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and updates using Terraform
• Manage message queuing systems with Rabbit
  
  MQ and AWS SQS
• Implement system monitoring, logging, and alerting to ensure reliability and performance
• Support CI/CD pipelines and work with developers to streamline deployments
• Troubleshoot production issues and conduct root cause analysis
• Maintain security best practices and ensure compliance across cloud platforms
• Continuously evaluate and optimise infrastructure for performance and cost

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a Dev Ops or Cloud Engineering role
• Hands-on expertise with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and modern development workflows
• Experience implementing monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana)
• Solid grasp of cloud security, IAM, and best practices for operational excellence
• Proactive problem solver with excellent troubleshooting skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, ideally within Agile teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
