Senior iOS Mobile Engineer

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer to help grow and evolve Royal London’s mobile capability. This is an opportunity to make a visible impact, shape how we build high-quality native iOS experiences and deliver new features and enhancements for our customers.

You will play a key role within our iOS development team, combining hands‑on engineering expertise with collaboration, technical guidance and support for other engineers. Working with mobile, API and platform colleagues, you will contribute to the evolution of our applications and the engineering practices that underpin them.

• Design, build and deliver high-quality native iOS features and enhancements.
• Contribute to technical decisions and help turn customer and business needs into effective mobile solutions.
• Support and mentor other engineers, sharing knowledge and helping the team maintain high standards.
• Collaborate with API, platform, product and wider technology teams to deliver reliable mobile experiences.
• Write maintainable, well‑tested code and contribute to reviews, testing and continuous improvement.
• Champion effective iOS engineering practices as our mobile capability grows.

You will bring strong commercial experience in native iOS development and the confidence to take ownership of complex technical work while supporting others. We are particularly interested in the depth of your mobile engineering expertise, your approach to quality and the applications you have helped deliver.

• Expertise in SwiftUI with experience with UIkit is essential.
• A strong software engineering background using native mobile technologies and modern iOS development approaches.
• Experience integrating mobile applications with APIs and backend services.
• Experience writing maintainable, testable code and contributing to code reviews and automated testing.
• The ability to take ownership of technical delivery and support the development of other engineers.
• Clear communication and a collaborative approach to solving technical challenges.

Experience Azure within financial services or regulated environments would be useful, but it is not essential. We value strong native iOS capability and your willingness to learn supporting technologies.
