Planner – Wastewater Treatment Projects The Role
Project Planner
Responsibilities- Understanding the client's project requirements
- Understanding NEC contract requirements
- Understanding framework agreement requirements
- Producing and maintaining project programme
- Coordinating monthly updates from the project teams, including subcontractors
- Producing monthly reports for the team and client, including narratives
- Cost loading and resource loading the programme
- Working with estimating and commercial teams on tender projects
- Producing monthly progress reports
- Monitoring and tracking change control
- Liaising with the project teams to baseline programme
- Liaising with the client planning manager
- Monitoring progress of the project through all phases with the project team
- Compiling weekly/monthly reports as dictated by the project
- Issuing monthly programme updates in line with contract requirements
- Monitoring performance of subcontractors against programme
- Attending collaborative meetings with the client
- Attending collaborative meetings with subcontractors and project teams
- Breaking out package of specific works as required by the project team
- Reporting change to the project manager for acceptance
- 5 years of demonstrated planning experience
- Competent in the use of Primavera P6
- Primavera P6 certified or demonstrable experience
- Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team
- Working knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts
- Demonstrable knowledge of construction methods
- Organiser who can coordinate on multiple fronts
- Structured thinker
- Client-focused
- Facilitator of innovative thought and ideas
- Commercial & contractual awareness
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong team player but also able to work as an individual
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines
- Able to work in a busy environment under pressure
Excellent communication skills - Possess a “can do” attitude who can provide support to other members of the team as required
