Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday - with opportunities for overtime and participation in an on-call rota Security Clearance:
This position requires you to hold or the ability and willingness to obtain a UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

Join Vodafone Business Security Enhanced and strengthen the cyber security of the UK's Critical National Infrastructure and public sector organisations.

What you’ll doJoin our Secure IT team and play a key role in supporting and maintaining our Linux estate within highly secure environments. You'll ensure critical systems remain available, secure and performant, supporting the infrastructure that underpins some of our most sensitive customer operations.

Working closely with infrastructure, security and project teams, you'll have the opportunity to develop your expertise across enterprise Linux platforms while contributing to the continuous improvement of our environments.

Administer and maintain Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and other Linux-based operating systems

Monitor, troubleshoot and resolve Linux server and application issues

Perform system patching, upgrades and lifecycle management activities

Manage server deployments, configuration and hardening in line with security standards

Support virtualised Linux environments using VMware

Develop and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python or Ansible Manage user access, permissions and authentication services

Ensure Linux systems are fully backed up, monitored and recoverable

Support the delivery of infrastructure and security projects

Maintain accurate system documentation, asset records and operational procedures

Contribute to maintaining departmental accreditation and compliance standards

Who you areYou have strong Linux administration experience within enterprise environments

You possess hands on experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS or similar Linux distributions
