Salary: £38,000 - £40,000 DOE

Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (Flexible Start & Finish Times)

Are you an experienced CNC Programmer looking for a stable, days-based role with flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact?

Our client is a highly respected subcontract precision engineering company with over 45 years of industry success. Thanks to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to add an experienced CNC Miller Programmer to their skilled manufacturing team.

The Role

You'll be responsible for creating and optimising CNC programs for 3 & 4-axis Hurco machining centres using OneCNC CAD/CAM software, ensuring efficient production, exceptional quality, and reduced cycle times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and optimise CNC programs using OneCNC for 3 & 4-axis Hurco CNC machines.
  • Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications to produce accurate machining programs.
  • Develop efficient tooling and machining strategies for a range of materials.
  • Work closely with machinists to improve program performance, maximise productivity, and reduce cycle times.
  • Troubleshoot and refine existing programs to improve quality and minimise waste.
  • Ensure all machining processes meet quality, safety, and engineering standards.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience as a CNC CAD/CAM Programmer.
  • Experience with OneCNC is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of CNC milling and machining processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work both independently and within a close-knit team.
