The successful candidate will work as part of the Aldershot Combined Medical Practice, a multidisciplinary primary healthcare team delivering advanced primary healthcare nursing including elements of occupational health, across two sites, the other facility being will be the lead civilian nurse within the medical facility (MF), working to the direction of the Senior Nursing Officer (SNO), who is responsible for overall leadership and management of the Nursing team, and alongside the Deputy Senior Nursing Officer (DSNO).
You will be the focal point for day-to-day Primary Healthcare (PHC) nursing issues, reporting into the SNO and working with the DSNO to achieve nursing team objectives. Have line management responsibility for the civilian nursing team and contribute to the training and clinical supervision of Military Medics, junior practice nurses, Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) and other members of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
Be the driving force behind the clinical practice underpinning nursing activity, conducting clinical audit, leading peer review, and supporting the SNO and DSNO to optimise clinical processes within the MF. Provide highly specialist high-quality person-centred care which always considers peoples safety, privacy and dignity using advanced clinical knowledge that is evidence based.
