Position: Investigator – Alexander City, AL

The Alexander City Housing Authority (ACHA) is currently seeking an Investigator responsible for enforcing laws and regulations in public housing communities owned and/or managed by the ACHA. The role includes establishing security and crime prevention programs and enforcing laws in Tallapoosa and Coosa Counties as commissioned by sheriffs’ departments.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or a two-year college degree, preferably in criminal justice and public safety.
  • Three to five years of related experience in law enforcement, undercover narcotics investigations, K-9 units, community-, neighborhood-, or problem-oriented policing.
  • Current P.O.S.T. certification prior to employment; must maintain firearms proficiency and meet physical requirements.
