Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) within NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde are excited to offer an opportunity for a motivated Band 6 Nurse to join our specialist community team based at the Acorn Centre, Vale of Leven Hospital. You will play a key role in assessment, care planning and therapeutic intervention for those with complex mental‑health and neuro‑developmental needs. • This post offers one full-time position (36 hours) and two part‑time positions (25.2 hours each).

Please note the salary is Pro Rata for part‑time hours.

• Undertake holistic assessments, risk assessments and develop, implement and evaluate person‑centred care plans for young people with complex mental health needs.
• Act as Named Nurse and Care Coordinator for a defined caseload, ensuring effective delivery of specialist interventions.
• Deliver evidence‑based psychological and therapeutic interventions within individual and group settings.
• Work collaboratively with families, carers, education and partner agencies to support a systemic approach to care.
• Monitor and administer prescribed treatments and evaluate outcomes in line with clinical policies.
• Provide leadership, supervision and support to Band 5 staff, healthcare support workers and students.
• Contribute to clinical governance, service development and continuous improvement within the multidisciplinary team.

• First‑level Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) or Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD) with current NMC registration.
• Educated to degree level or equivalent with evidence of ongoing continuous professional development.
• Demonstrable experience of working within mental health services and applying specialist clinical skills.
• Knowledge of risk assessment, mental health legislation and factors impacting emotional wellbeing.
• Strong communication, organisational and decision‑making skills with the ability to work autonomously.
• Experience of multidisciplinary team working and building therapeutic relationships with children, young people and families.
• Ability to prioritise workload, demonstrate leadership skills and contribute to supervision and mentorship of others.
