OverviewLevel II PICU - 7 on / 7 off - Home Call - Work/Life Balance with 26 weeks off per year.
Responsibilities- Provide inpatient pediatric floor care, pediatric intensive care unit care, and pediatric sedation services.
- Perform procedures such as intubations, lumbar punctures, line placement, chest tube insertions, and CPR.
- Document patient care with H&Ps, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including Cardiology, Pulmonology, and GI specialists, and participate in monthly subspecialty clinics.
- Provide level II pediatric intensive care as part of a mission‑driven team at Rapides Women’s & Children’s Hospital with Pediatrix Medical Group.

Qualifications- Board Certified in Pediatrics
- Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatric Critical Care
- Central Louisiana’s only Level II PICU with 19‑bed pediatric ward and 6‑bed PICU.
- Team includes two pediatric intensivists and two pediatric nurse practitioners.
