SPECIAL EDUCATION CERTIFIED INSTRUCTOR

This position will be filled immediately.

This position is needed to cover active treatment within an Intensive Care Facility. It will support the provision of special education services to meet the legally mandated educational needs of children, adolescents, and young adults, who have been identified with disabilities that impede educational and/or behavioral performance.

R.S. 17:3884(D) requires that any school board wishing to hire a person who has been assessed or evaluated pursuant to the Children First Act, La. R.S. 17:3871, et seq., whether that person is already employed by that school system or not, shall request such person's assessment and evaluation results as part of the application process.

The position involves planning, organizing, and providing engaging instruction across multiple subject areas to support student growth, aligned with the LEADS teaching rubric components.
