Instructor​/Assistant​/Associate Professor Of Nursing

Northwestern State University's College of Nursing and School of Allied Health seeks an applicant for a 12-month full-time faculty position for the Associate/Bachelor of Science degree programs in Nursing available in Alexandria beginning August 4, 2025.

• Master of Science in Nursing (Doctorate preferred)
• Eligible for undergraduate faculty membership
• Unencumbered RN licensure in Louisiana or eligible for licensure
• At least three years of clinical nursing experience
• At least three years of nurse educator experience; three or more preferred
• Ability to pass a background check and meet university standards

• Perform faculty duties within a large nursing education department
• Support program expansion in Alexandria and surrounding areas
• Teach courses promoting academic excellence and student engagement
• Evaluate student outcomes and provide feedback
• Serve as a professional role model
• Represent the university positively
• Maintain records and documentation

• Participate in policy development, meetings, and committees

• Mentor students and engage in college activities
