Position Summary

As a Service Technician, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain mono and color stand-alone and networked devices at customer sites. You'll also connect equipment to networks and computers as needed, offering top-notch technical support and serving as the first-line expert for technical inquiries. Additionally, you'll maintain accurate documentation, inventory, and administrative paperwork for company assets and parts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Arrive onsite by 8:00 AM and confirm the first service call for the next morning by 5:00 PM.

Bring necessary tools and supplies, contacting the Service Field Supervisor if additional items are needed.

Present a professional appearance and communicate with clients before and after resolving issues. Explanation of service performed, or additional parts or needs is also required.

Input data into remote services software and maintain open communication with the service team and management.

Expectations of the Job

Ask customers to describe the problem/service request and run a test print if possible.

Use logical troubleshooting methods to identify and verify the problem, performing necessary repairs and preventative maintenance.

Order repair parts through remote service software and review the problem and solution with the customer.

Maintain productivity benchmarks: average 4 calls/day, 4-hour response time or less, call back rate under 20%, 7.5 hours of accountable time/day, and 65% efficiency, while attending meetings, checking emails, and cooperating with random audits.

Physical expectations: speak clearly, hear effectively, use electronic devices for data entry, bend, stoop, push, pull, lift up to 80 pounds, use hand tools, and work with chemicals like toner and cleaning solutions.

Must be located in Central Louisiana.

Required high school diploma or GED.

Associates degree in electronics or equivalent.

Sharp, HP, Ricoh, and Epson experience is preferred.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Excellent analytical skills for written and numerical data.

Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Clean background check and drug screening.

Veterans encouraged to apply.

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm (40 hours a week).
