The RN Supervisor/Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) in Surgical Services ensures and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care and coordinates all functions in the unit. The CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care per established policies, serves as a resource for staff, and models the organization’s vision, mission and values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes.
What You Will Do- Assist with admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient throughput and high‑quality care.
- Participate in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with management.
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and managers to create teamwork that promotes improved outcomes.
- Support a patient‑first philosophy and engage in service recovery when necessary.
- Help operationalize nursing strategies such as employee rounding and hourly rounds.
- Recommend and implement staff training, development, conflict resolution, policy compliance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Assist with staff scheduling and manage labor in accordance with patient needs and productivity guidelines.
- Support inventory control and assist with managing supplies and equipment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start.
- Registered Nurse (RN).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
- 2 years acute care experience in a specialty area.
