American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cath Lab position requiring ACLS certification and weekend availability on a 13-week day shift assignment.
Requirements- Active RN license in Louisiana or compact required
- BLS certification via AHA required
- ACLS certification via AHA required
- BSN preferred
- 1 year of related nursing specialty experience preferred, new graduates considered for Critical Care experience
- Cardiology Cath Lab setting caring for cardiac cath, peripheral, TAVR, and device patients
- Day shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
- Nurse to patient ratio of 1:4, supported by 2 nurses and 2 techs per patient
- Weekend coverage required approximately every third or fourth weekend
- On-call responsibilities required, coordinated with staff
- Uses Epic EMR
- 13-week assignment, full time
- Provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
- Administers medications and treatments and monitors for side effects and effectiveness
- Documents patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
- Educates patients and families on care needs and available resources
- New hires complete orientation and a precepted onboarding period with competency validation
- Dress code requires galaxy blue scrubs
- Temp-to-perm opportunity possible
- Candidates must reside within a 50-mile radius or meet local candidate criteria for consideration
- Previous CHRISTUS employees must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible for a travel assignment
